Mountains and Plains of Pluto
Fascinating images are being transmitted to Earth from the revolutionary New Horizons spacecraft, which came its closest to Pluto in July this year. This NASA Astronomy Photo of the Day shows never-before-seen detail of the dwarf planet's topography of mountains and plains. Very amazing!
